Answer 115 - And the grease in the wheels

This is no coincidence:

That the two major products that came out of Berkeley are LSD and Unix.

Or that in no known language does the phrase 'as pretty as an airport' appear.

However, fate is the mother of coincidence and coincidence is God's way of staying anonymous.

So, in that way, isn't coincidence just the word we use when we can't see the levers and the pulleys?

Or maybe a kind of spiritual pun?

Of course, some say art itself is the end result of perception, wisdom, intelligence, discipline, hard work, passion, luck, accident and coincidence..

But Democracy, with its semi-civilization sincerely cherishes junk. The artist's power should be spiritual. But the power of the majority is material.  When these worlds meet occasionally, it is pure coincidence.

So art, being in and of itself coincidental, only appeals to the materially-driven majority due to pure coincidence.

See.  It makes perfect sense that Simon Cowell doesn't know who the hell I am.

It's no coincidence.

  1. Here is what one of my favorite artists (a stranger to Simon Cowell and the art world in general) M.T. Liggett of Mullinville Kansas (population:too few to count)has to say about art and artists.
